Big news hit Tacoma this week: I quit my job and I'm going to Mexico.
It sounds better like that than it really is.
Anyway, on Monday morning, I put in my six-week notice. This means I'll be done with the museum right at the end of April, and just in time to take some trips I've been meaning to before heading off to whatever it is that comes next.
The trips include Cleveland to visit Andrew, and Mexico with Jack and Lindsey. I think I'll be swinging them both together into one long uber-trip that I'll start the day after I leave the museum.
In other news, I have my Teach For America interview next Wednesday. It stands to be pretty intense, as it's a full day of essay-writing, lesson giving, and personal interview. My plan is to teach the difference between ellastic and inellastic collisions, then demonstrate them with a rubber ball and an egg. I figure if I can teach the recruiters something that they didn't know before, they'll be duly impressed.
Feel free to comment, Shane.
. . . and I'm spent. For those of you interested, here's the original post that introduces my top ten lists (three months ago!!). You can follow the links to those lists that I actually created.
Now that it's over, I feel a distinct lack of direction. More on that soon . . .
