August Finale

The UPS boys and girls are officially back at it, leaving Lindsey, Kristen K, Alec, and myself left to wait out the next step.

I've found myself a good situation back in T-Town (will I ever leave?): the art museum offered me a full-time position, putting up to ten people directly under me, and providing me with the full vacation/insurance package. I mean, talk about falling into something - I just tried to put in my two weeks and this is what I get.

Anyway, I'll try not to be too boring, but I can't quite compete with gunfights and the like.

Next week I'll be heading to Montana on a train with Lindsey for one final trip before she heads back to SoCal. Finally, we'll be checking out Glacier National Park, which has been on the agenda since the Summer of Flagstaff.

What that means is that I'll be checking out here for a few weeks (and not out of laziness this time). But I will be back to continue my steadfast reporting of endless summer by mid-September.

Cheers.

Greatest Summer Winds Down

Thursday morning - and the departure of Jack to the plethora of lakes that is Minnesota - marked a tremendous transition point of the Greatest Summer Ever into Endless Summer. Jack's flight highlights the return of our friends still in school to their scholarly routines, as well as marks the final fade out (with the exception of the exceptional Miss Paul) of my stalwart ring of friends.

It's no small wonder that the weather here has also seemed to change accordingly - providing a melancholy cover of calm clouds high overhead and a gentle breeze keeping the crisp quality of near-fall air and signaling a shift in times.

Here's a moment to the Greatest Summer fulfilling it's promise, and to the impressive potential of Endless Summer from here on out.

King of Sunset

For those of you all interested, I posted some pictures in the mid-celebration Birth-weekend update. Keep in mind, that's some of my earliest digital work you'll find.

And also, because Jack started it on his site, here's my very own sunset picture. Now you can choose who is the more formidable photographer/camera once and for all . . .

P.S. Check out this other sweet shot I got from my parent's deck!

Continuing Adventure

It appears that Mr. Dupuy has forgotten to defend his own manly-ness in good time, and even though I'd love to declare myself winner simply due to his own negligence, I’ll move on to continue reporting the fantastic events of my own life.

Well, since I last caught you up, we were in the middle of celebrating the weekend commemorating my own amazing birth. And how! The whole festival continued without a hitch, and here are only a few of the highlights:

- Seeing the Indigo Girls in concert at The Pier.

- Grilling and sunning at Peter’s Beach House.

- Birthday/Funeral cake.

The next weekend was no less extravagant, with a few of the highs including:

- A trip to Mason Lake for a lavish celebration of Luke’s Birthday.

- Yet another concert at The Pier (B.B. King), only this time with Papa Morrison.

- The Scottish Highland Games with Clan Morrison.

- Beerfest/Beardfest!

And finally, worthy of reporting was the most recent weekend, endured at the local salmon bake and later sailing on Alan’s Boat.

So, there you have it, the continuing adventure of my summer. Keep with me now, I’ve got a few surprises yet for our fledgling Trent . . .
