Ahhhh . . .
Four weeks into summer (just under halfway) and already much has happened. Brief summation: I had my tonsils removed, got my picture in the paper as I sat in a workshop for math teachers, and took it easy in Ohio.
*Special Note* While in Cleveland, I had the distinct pleasure of watching the Indians spank the Yankees in the 19 - 1, Fourth of July game.
Coming up on the radar:
- Hosting the new TFA recruits next week as they begin searching for housing and meeting the locals.
- Birth-Weekend-Aganza involving visits from out of town, a coast trip, a partay, and a trip north of the Mason-Dixon again.
- A visit home again (thank the Lord), where mountains are mountains, beer is beer, and women are manly.
No big thoughts. Had a good morning of reading and planning for next year. I'm thinking about wearing a Superman costume under my suit on the first day of school and demonstrating to my students how they can be 'Superheroes of Math'.
I'll probably be back with pictures in a few weeks.
Ahh...nothing like a good old Yankeespank to show you summer's in full swing. And the Indians whupping the Yanks on the Fourth...the irony is overwhelming.
