Celebrating 25 Years of Poor Upbringing and Financial Ruin

Another Success

Keeping up with the tradition of 'The Greatest Summer Ever,' my return to the nurturing bosom of the Pacific Northwest was marked with hugs, comicbooks, and a startling game of 'Would You Rather' that ended when Jack announced that he'd swim fifteen yards 'underwater' through the 'seed' of President Ron Thomas. This, of course, was preceeded with Lindsey and I confirming that we'd take a shot of the very same 'seed,' and Jack's derisive laughter.

'The Greatest Summer Ever Kickoff Party: Boston' laid waste to each and every meager attempt to stylishly open the summer. After a day of candlepin bowling and breaking Joel's Dunkin' Donuts hymen, we headed out in dapper attire for a formal dinner and a night out on the town. By 3am, we'd conquered three pubs including the Squealing Pig, downed a Scorpion Bowl and Prairie Fires, and finished the night off with a Guiness at J.J. Foley's deep in the heart of Southie.

With an equal style and elegance, the weekend continued to rise above everyone's expectations. From braving the backseat of the Duck Tour in the pouring rain, to dodging crowds of pubescent Asians at Boston Bowl, it seems the best summation of the weekend came from a young Irishman at J.J. Foley's: "If you talk to this girl here, you could take her home with you tonight."

Now, just as soon as Joel actually gets me the pictures, I'll be creating my list of 'Kickoff Party: Weekend Highlights.'
