What's Andy Cooking?

Celebrating 25 Years of Poor Upbringing and Financial Ruin

Round 2

Kudos to everyone who submited a guess in The Contest of the Millennium!! With some brilliant skills of observation, Kat guessed that the 'What' was 'Special' Brownies. Unfortunately, she was wrong. But a stellar guess nontheless.

In fact, there were no real correct guesses made. Therefore, What IS Andy Cooking? is being extended!!

This time, I'm ammending the rules a bit. You're welcome to make as many guesses as you like until someone hits the jackpot. Also, I'm giving you a hint: Although it does seem dark in the background (and it is), the food was made and consumed a matter of hours before the arduous job of cleaning was undertaken (in other words, long before it got dark). This picture was, in fact, taken just before cleaning commenced.

Hopefully that helps you guys out. Keep those great guesses coming!

While I have no officially been disqualified, I have an unfair advantage since I am actually responsible for the image that you see on Andy's site's distorted perspective. That means that I, at one point, had the original in my possession.

With this additional knowledge, I can tell you that Andy made a mistake similiar to one that I made once. He left the pot on the stove long after whatever had been in there had boiled away. As a result, the bottom of the pot charred, and the wooden spoon smoldered slowly, eating away at the end. Eventually, he likely smelled the odor of charring metal or smoldering wood and arrived to find his pot warped and his spoon burned.

I'll send you my address when you decide to recognize my superiority.

I'd have to say Rice Crispy Treats (that being the marshmallows of course)

if not the pot, then I'd have to guess pig nuts.

Pancakes or waffles?

Cereal. You all got long spoons like that one and shared it, since that was the only remaining bowl in the house. You have the dilapidated spoon because you didn't have enough funcional long spoons.

Or it could be oatmeal.

But what it really looks like is burnt soy sauce.
